Welcome to the Student Health Insurance Online Enrollment/Upgrade/Downgrade and Waiver Process. Please carefully read the following information before you continue.
New York University values the health of its students and therefore requires that students in degree-granting programs and all F-1/J-1 international students maintain health insurance coverage. Therefore, most students are enrolled automatically in the Basic or Comprehensive Plans of the NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance Program as part of the course registration process. Please review the Eligibility and Automatic Enrollment Guide for more information about eligibility and automatic enrollment at Student Health Insurance www.nyu.edu/health/insurance. If you are eligible for the student plans, you must review your insurance options at the beginning of each academic year and either:
- maintain enrollment in the plan in which you were enrolled automatically, or change enrollment to a different student plan;
- enroll in a student plan, if you are eligible but were not automatically enrolled; or
- waive all NYU plans if you have other health insurance coverage which meets the University requirements.
Whether enrolled in an NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan or maintaining alternate health insurance coverage, ALL MATRICULATED NYU STUDENTS have access to comprehensive services at the Student Health Center (SHC), located at 726 Broadway.
Note: Selections/Waivers from previous academic years are not rolled forward or renewed.
Please take a few minutes to consider your selection for insurance coverage. You must make your decision, no later than the February 10th deadline. You may want to first review the 2016-2017 Student Health Insurance Guide online www.nyu.edu/health/insurance.
